A fair-use agreement
Terms of use
Effective and last updated August 27, 2026
The practical rules for using Chamber Connect listings, claims, chamber tools, accounts, and paid subscriptions.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Ideas Realized, which operates Chamber Connect. By using an account, claiming or editing a listing, operating a chamber hub, or buying a subscription, you agree to these terms. If you use Chamber Connect for an organization, you confirm you can bind that organization.
Directory listings and claims
Chamber Connect may draft unclaimed listings from businesses' own public websites and public chamber rosters. An unclaimed page is not an endorsement, membership claim, or statement that the business supplied the information. Businesses may claim, correct, or request removal of a listing. A confirmed work-email domain that matches the listing website may be used for immediate removal; other requests are reviewed before a listing changes.
You may claim or manage only a business or chamber you are authorized to represent. We may ask for domain, email, or other verification and may reject, reverse, or investigate a claim that appears inaccurate or unauthorized.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Ideas Realized a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve Chamber Connect. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backups, legal records, and material others have lawfully shared outside the service.
You are responsible for having the rights to submit the content and for keeping it accurate. Do not submit confidential personal information, payment-card data, unlawful material, malware, deceptive claims, or content that infringes another person's rights.
Acceptable use
- Do not impersonate a business, chamber, person, or Ideas Realized.
- Do not scrape, probe, overload, bypass access controls, or interfere with the service.
- Do not use the directory to spam, harass, discriminate, or facilitate unlawful activity.
- Do not manipulate clicks, claims, reviews, memberships, or other service signals.
- Do not resell access or use Chamber Connect content to build a competing directory without written permission.
We may remove content or suspend access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms or protect the service.
Accounts and security
Keep access to your email and sign-in links secure, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
Paid chamber tools
Business listings are free. Some chamber tools may require a recurring subscription. The price, billing period, trial or promotion, and renewal details shown at Stripe Checkout are part of these terms. Stripe processes the payment. You may manage or cancel future renewals through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless the checkout terms or law say otherwise. Fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase.
Third-party services and links
Chamber Connect links to businesses, chambers, feeds, Google, Stripe, and other services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, transactions, or practices. A listing is informational; verify a business and its terms before relying on it or entering a transaction.
Availability and changes
We may change, pause, or discontinue features and may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change materially affects existing account or payment rights, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after an updated effective date means the new terms apply going forward.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Chamber Connect is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that directory information is complete or current, that every page will be indexed or ranked, that a listing will generate business, or that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits a warranty or right that cannot legally be waived.
Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by law, Ideas Realized and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from Chamber Connect. Our total liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid for Chamber Connect during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
Governing law
California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in a court with jurisdiction in California, unless applicable consumer law requires another location. Before filing, please contact us and give both sides a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
